Mother City Route - Western Cape & Garden Route
Day 1 & 2 Arrive Cape Town.
Pick up your rental car and drive to Stellenbosch where you will spend the first 2 nights of your journey. At leisure in Stellenbosch. Things to do in Stellenbosch: Visit wine farms, Oom Samie se winkel, Spier Wine Estate, Miniature museum
Day 3 Stellenbosch to Hermanus
Today you make you way to Hermanus on the beautiful coastal road. On arrival at your destination you check in at Francolinhof (or similar). Take this opportunity to do some whale watching in season and explore this beautiful area of the Western Cape. Maybe even spend some time to laze on the beach.
Day 4 Hermanus to Wilderness
Take a leisurely drive to the Garden Route. The journey is approximately 4 hours. Stop en-route for lunch at Mosselbay. Overnight at this beautiful town called Wilderness. Once you are there you will realize why this little place is called Wilderness. Explore Sedgefield, Knysna and Plettenberg Bay.

Day 5 Wilderness - Oudtshoorn
Start your journey back to Cape Town via George to Oudtshoorn. Visit the Cango Caves, ostrich farms and the Cango Wildlife reserve. Overnight Oudtshoorn. (Welgevonden)
Day 6 Oudtshoorn to Montague
This journey takes you on the famous Route 62, the world’s longest wine route. Enjoy this drive as the road crosses mountain passes and sweeps through the plains for of mesmerizing countryside of the Western Cape.
Montague is your resting place for the night and is known as “the jewel of route 62”. Your overnight stay would be at Montague Country Hotel (or similar).
Day 7 & 8 Montague to Cape Town
Today you complete your journey on Route 62 and drive through the little hamlets of Robertson, Worcester, through the Dutoitskloof Tunnel via Paarl to Cape Town.
Cape Town is your hub for he next 2 nights where you can laze back in the sun and enjoy the beach and city life.
Overnight at The President Hotel or similar.
Day 9 Cape Town to HOME
Depending on your departure time from Cape Town airport, you head back to the airport and drop you car off at the car rental depot. The general check-in time for international flights are 2 hours prior to departure, so please allow sufficient time to return the rented vehicle.

Grapes of the vine Route - Winelands, West Coast & Cape Town
Day 1 & 2 Paarl
Arrive Cape Town. Pick up your rental car and drive to Paarl where you will spend the first 2 nights of your journey.
At leisure in Paarl. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful town after a long and tiring flight.
Accommodation at Cascade Manor or similar.
Day 3 & 4 Paarl to St Helena Bay (West Coast)
Take a leisurely drive towards St. Helena Bay going through Malmesbury, Hopefield and Vredenburg.
Check in at Oystercatcher Lodge (or similar) where you will stay for the next 2 nights.
Enjoy the lovely sea views from your room.
Explore the West Coast. Places of interest to visit is the West Coast National Park, the West Coast Fossil Park, the typical west coast town of Paternoster, Boesmanland Plaaskombuis, Strandloper restaurant.
Day 5 & 7 St. Helena Bay to Cape Town
Take the R27 towards Cape Town, typically known as the West Coast road. Check in at your accommodation in Cape Town.
The next 3 days is at your disposal to go up Table Mountain, visit Robben Island, go to Cape Point, view the penguins at Boulders Beach, explore Cape Town center, visit Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, shopping at V&A Waterfront, Canal walk and so much more. At night there is plenty of entertainment, whether it is night clubbing, theatre shows, going to restaurants, you name it Cape Town’s got it.
Day 8 Cape Town to HOME
Depending on your departure time from Cape Town airport, you head back to the airport and drop you car off at the car rental depot. The general check-in time for international flights are 2 hours prior to departure, so please allow sufficient time to return the rented vehicle.

Whale Watchers Route - Winelands & False Bay
Day 1 & 2 - Stellenbosch
Arrive Cape Town. Pick up your rented car and drive to Stellenbosch where you will spend your first 2 nights of your journey.
Explore Stellenbosch and the Stellenbosch wine routes, Strand and Gordon’s Bay, which are popular, beaches among the locals and shopping at Somesert Mall.
Day 3 & 4 – Stellenbosch to Simon’s Town
Today, you head towards Simons Town via the coastal route. Based in Simon’s Town you can explore Boulders Beach (the penguin colony), Simon’s Town museum and Cape Point. Spend 2 nights at Simon’s Town Quayside Hotel.
Day 5 & 6
After a leisurely breakfast you make your journey back to the Winelands. This time to Paarl where you will enjoy the hospitality of a successful social upliftment project. Stay at Sonop Wine Farm for 2 nights.
Day 7 Cape Town to HOME
Depending on your departure time from Cape Town airport, you head back to the airport and drop you car off at the car rental depot. The general check-in time for international flights are 2 hours prior to departure, so please allow sufficient time to return the rented vehicle.

* Important Self Drive Information
- It is advisable to pre-book your accommodation well in advance during our high season (generally from Oct - March) to avoid dissapointment.
- Low season (April - Sep) is generally quite pleasant to travel as areas are not too crowded and rates are generally lower at accommodation establishments. The hidden season for Western Cape is April/May & Sep. The weather is quite pleasant (but don't be surrpised if some rain falls as it is Autumn & Spring months.
- Ensure that you have the address, directions and contact details of the establishment you will be staying
- It is always courteous to advise the establishment should you be a late arrival ie. normally after 18h00 especially for smaller establishments such as guest houses and bed and breakfasts.
- Most establishments can arrange for any activities in the area and would also give some suggestions
- It is advisable to have an idea of what you would like to do and where you would like to go. If you need any assistance with this, we'll be happy to assist.
